I’m Running for re-election in 2026

I am proud to announce that I'll be seeking a fifth term as Rhode Island House Representative for House District 72, serving Middletown and Portsmouth!

It has been an honor to serve this community since I was first elected in November 2018. Over the years, I've focused my work on protecting our environment, strengthening climate resilience, expanding shoreline access, supporting our small businesses, and standing up for Rhode Island seniors.

I am committed to continuing my work at the State House and am deeply grateful for my constituents’ support and trust over the years. Together, let's keep working to make Rhode Island a safe community for us all to live and thrive.

Since taking office, I've taken on leadership roles. Here are my current roles:

  • Chair, Legislative Study Commission on Climate Change Impacts & Solutions

  • Member, House Small Business Committee

  • Member, House Environment and Natural Resources Committee

  • Member, House Finance Committee, where I chair the subcommittee on Transportation and Environment

  • Co-Chair, “Sludge” Study Commission examining how Rhode Island manages its biosolids (New Commission)

  • Chair, House Study Commission on Declining Enrollment in Public Schools (New Commission)

In 2025, I was honored to be named Clean Water Legislator of the Year. This recognition reflects years of work protecting Rhode Island's coastline, expanding public shoreline access, strengthening our resilience to climate change, and confronting the environmental challenges facing our coastal communities head-on.

As a co-founder of the Aquidneck Island Climate Caucus, I've helped pass legislation addressing PFAS contamination, reforming coastal resource management, launching municipal composting initiatives, and safeguarding Rhode Island's natural resources for the generations that come after us.

As our communities face growing challenges, from housing affordability and environmental threats to supporting local businesses and ensuring opportunities for future generations, I remain committed to bringing practical solutions and thoughtful leadership to the State House. There is still important work ahead, and I ask for your support as I look to continue my service to the people of Middletown and Portsmouth.

I value hearing directly from you. Your ideas, questions, and concerns help shape my work, and I encourage you to reach out whenever I can be of assistance.
